Concours d'architecture EUROPAN 8 - Site de Riga

The project has its approach from global view on the north-eastern part of Riga. The location of Europan site has a great potential for synergy effects on adjoining areas.

The idea in a long-term view is to create a coastal boulevard connecting areas like Jugla and Mezapark to strengthen the alm of Riga to become a multi-center city.

The Europan site can be seen as a starting point for this development and will be connected to brivibas gatve in the south.

The boulevard will combine urban development housing and commercial space and a good public transpotation as well as individual communication with bike paths, pedestrian walking and car lanes.

The idea is to weave a network of built environment and nature around the boulevard. Green fingers with reeds and meadows brought far into the site and place housing close to the nature.
